If he can make even modest gains in the strikeout rate department, he could be a pretty good player. He's managed to stay somewhat productive despite such a low BA, but we're still talking about a 1B/corner OF with a 103 wRC+.

I am in no way saying he's awesome. Just that he doesn't suck.

Tribe could use Leonys Martin. Perhaps they lust after Shane Greene as well? Let them have both for a cart full of Sam's Club pop.
Anyone notice that Verlander is playing lap dog to Kluber this year?

There are not a lot of viable corner OF options available (sans major return with prospects) Indians may need to get creative. Thinking Dozier and boot Kipnis to the OF

Jon Morosi of MLB.com reports that the Indians have been in contact with the Nationals recently regarding the possibility of a Bryce Harper trade.

I just saw that. Me thinks that asking price for a rental will be pretty hefty

Too high ... you team has good chemistry ... you don't need that!!!

Who knows what the asking price will be. Frankly, I don't think it would be too high considering it's a 1-2 month rental. Wait. Actually, I could see the asking price being too high, but I don't think anyone will pay it. I think any potential trade for Harper will have to be reasonable to happen, regardless of the Nats trading partner.

He could be a distraction, or he could fire the team up. They've been playing pretty meh baseball. What if a change of scenery for Harper fired him up and we got some 2015-Harper for a couple months? That would be badass.

That would be bad ass, but your statement has a lot "ifs" and I would hate to see the chemistry be compromised. And in spite of the issues of late I do think they have good chemistry. Still wouldn't mind seeing Adam Jones but he doesn't seem interested in waiving his 10/5 rights. and Adam Duvall interested me but he gone

He may be a good guy, I just wish he was better at playing baseball, and didn't smell like Detroit.

We might smell a little like peckers right now, but compared to the land where rivers are combustible we smell good!!
