AP has said he wants to finish his career in Dallas, and we all know JJ would love to have him. Question is would you want him with the way Murray is playing? Now I'm sure AP will be suspended for the rest of this season, but if he is cleared to play would you want him here? It is being rumored the Vikings are about to cut ties with him. So who is worth more, Murray or AP? IMO Murray is doing quiet well, and if it isn't broke don't fix it. Your thoughts...........

When Demarco actually shows up with Romo and company and give the high scoring Philadelphia Eagles a game, then keep Demarco, until then he's big enough now to know how to catch a plane or train out of town.

Umm, the Cowboys gave the Eagles a game with Murray and back up QB Kyle Orton.

I'd say AP regardless. He'll be fresh next year and wanting to prove something. Just remember how "angry" he ran after his knee injury. I know he'll be a couple years older this time around, but all he can do right now is lift, run and train.

Depends on how much cheaper, and AP will be 30 years old next season. Running backs tend to go down hill at 30. Murray will be 27 next season and still has life left. I hear people say running backs are a dime a dozen, but I don't agree with that, at least not the good ones. If we sign AP and let Murray walk and AP starts to decline right away, then we are right back to where we started from before Murray was drafted. Searching for a decent back. How many did we go through before Murray?

Me too, and the three year age gap has me liking Murray even more. Not to mention Murray has not had any off field troubles.

Not to mention AP has 2,054 NFL carries on his legs and body. Murray has only 617.

Age is the determining factor to me. I'll stick with Murray unless he prices himself out. If this is the case I go with Randal and a draft pick. NO to a 30 yr old RB with baggage.

Don't want him. Would be very pissed off, probably wouldn't have a favorite team anymore. At some point a man has got to stand for something. Jerry's greedy ass needs to stay away from that train wreck.

C'mon man.

Three straight 100 yard games in Dallas history: Tony, Emmitt, and now DeMarco.

in this type of offfense isnt Murray the better receiver as well. That plus youth, I agree with unless he prices himself out, you stay with Murray.

With RB's being the stepchild of the NFL now can they price themselves out. outside of AP who was the last RB that broke the bank?

I agree, and the only reason I started this thread was the rumors that are already flying around. You know how that goes in Dallas. I think we have signed enough players in the past based on their prior history, only to have them go down hill or continue their off field problems. AP was a great back, and maybe he still is, but Murray isn't exactly garbage. Even with the off field troubles I think AP will demand more money than Murray, I could be wrong though.

They are definitely treating Murray as the "bell cow". I dont think anything is hidden in it- meaning lets get the most out of him while we can. He is doing this in game deciding situations for the most part. It would be nice to get Randle a series each half if possible to ease the wear and tear. 25 touches a game is a lot of work for a back. Every 100 yd game is nice but that cash register is ringing as well which is good for him. AP is as good as it gets or at least was. A full year off may add something to him. I think its a yr to yr league now. RB is a position that we cant overpay for. We dont pay much for Safeties however and it shows.

Something tells me a 30 year old RB missing basically an entire season because of two charges of child abuse won't command a substantial amount of money this off season. I think the league would be best of cutting ties with him altogether but he'll be signing a minimum contract in 2015.

Murray is habitually injured, AP is not. That goes a long way in my book as well.
