Beltran has refused the Cardinals' 1 year, 14 mil offer. He wants multiple years. Mozeliak said that they are bowing out of the bidding. "The depth at right field does not necessitate that the club invests long-term in someone else to play the position.

Thanks for your time Carlos. It was short lived, but I enjoyed him as a Cardinal.

NOW, we can see what Matt Adams can do with 550 AB's, and hopefully Craig can stay healthy enough to play right field.

Next step...get an upgrade at Shortstop, 3B and Center Field. If Taveras and Wong can step up, that will take care of the CF and 3B holes.

Cards just need to focus on SS....maybe trading Wong and a pitcher for a SS, they will be right back to the WS.

Unfortunately, this was pretty inevitable. Beltran was a huge part of the team and he'll be missed but the Cardinals need infield position players and Beltran needs to be in the AL.

If we can pull off a trade for Tulo, he will take Beltran spot in order. I liked Beltran too! but he needs the AL now.
