The problem is that the Lakers can't offer him a max deal apparently until July 30th. That's a long time to wait and makes you completely beholden to the Lakers at that point so everyone else's dance card will be full by then.
Just curious, but doesn't the NBA free agent period start at 12:01 a.m. ET on July 1, which is only two weeks away?

Dloading i wouldn't mind really. kid's kinda proven himself...

sLopez ...?

well, not that i have a say in it,but if it were up to me, pass...

Not a fan either. AD can already stretch the floor. A guy like TT might be more suited for a role next to him :D

Well feel free to tell us how much? The Heat traded for him to get his Bird rights.

Both Lebron and Bosh gave up $15m each to play together.

Not a huge sum of money in the grand scheme of things but it ruins your "No player is taking a pay cut in order to win a championship" narrative

About $3M/year. A max guy would have to probably give up $4-5M/year or so to sign with the Lakers but that’s why I said...why should that matter. A guy like Kyrie is turning down 30-40M to not resign with the C’s. Kyrie knows he cant be a #1 and if he cant play with KD, it might just bolt to LA. It would be the most Kyrie thing

Davis is a great player but seems like the Lakers gave up way way to much to get him.

The Pelicans have agreed to a deal to trade Anthony Davis to the Lakers for Lonzo Ball, Brandon Ingram, Josh Hart, and three first-round picks – including the No. 4 overall in 2019 Draft, league sources tell ESPN.

Wait, did Lonzo's dad approve of this ??

First off I didn't say that. Secondly, there is a difference between leaving a few million on the table and leaving a 100 million on the table.
