Hokies to retake the floor tomorrow, in search of our 2nd ACC win and 1st win in 2014! :yahoo: :L

I say you guys line up and pelt em with snowballs as they get off the bus. You know UM has no D for that.

"Duke's bus is not able to get to their campus to pick up the team in time to be able to make the trip to Chapel Hill so we can't play this evening," says Director of Athletics Bubba Cunningham. "The safety of the teams and officials is the number one priority and this was the best decision to make at this time. Coach Williams, Coach Krzyzewski, (Duke AD) Kevin White and I will be on the phone with the ACC and make a decision as to when to play the game as soon as possible."

They canceled classes at 12:50pm, but I don't see how that had anything to do with whether they played the game or not. The State Highway Patrol was busy trying to clear the thousands of stalled cars in the Triangle so I'm sure that may have had something to do with them not being able to escort the team bus as usual. Whether Pitt could play a specific game and show up has nothing to do with it. The Georgia Tech and Boston College game was postponed as well. They had both teams and officials present. Did that have anything to do with the decision or do you think it had to do with the deterioration of the road conditions? I think it silly to believe that Duke's team didn't care to play the game in front of whomever could make it to the game or not. Bottom line is the safety of everyone involved like AD Bubba Cunningham states.

They were sitting on the team bus in Durham. I'm surprised GT and BC cancelled, it could've been because employees couldn't get there. And, I'm sure Duke couldn't get there Wednesday night but I don't understand how Pittsburgh was able to get here

Pitt has further to go and had to get started a day ahead when travel was clear. The team bus that was to take the Duke team over to Chapel Hill could not make it to Duke's campus. Dick Vitale couldn't make the trip from the Raleigh airport. The roads were impassible.

He doesn't look too good does he? This is Dick Vitale stuck at Raleigh-Durham Airport. My point being if "Dickie-V" cannot get there to the game, then how can we expect anyone else? He wouldn't have ever missed this game if it wasn't just an impossible situation.

Nope, I'm the same way. But, the team was on the bus. All I'm asking is if they were planning ahead enough to cancel classes why not plan ahead and get to the game on time? There's no doubt in my mind that at 6 o'clock on Wednesday it was way to late for Duke to get there. But, I do question what they were waiting for.

I haven't read that anywhere but that doesn't change the fact that safety was the main and only issue. It still doesn't change the fact that the trip would be treacherous or not. I'm thinking that the only satisfaction for heel fans Wednesday night would be if the bus loaded with the team was stranded or wrecked and players were hurt or worse. I can tell you this for a fact. They are going to play the game. It wasn't like the game was canceled never to be made up again.

Cuse stole that one and there offense is still a big concern. Ennis has to be more aggressive and J.B. has to go deeper in the bench. This guys will wear down at this rate. Cant keep doing this all year.

NC State really cannot close out a game. Syracuse in vulnerable. They will meet their Waterloo at Cameron.

Yep, Duke escaped a bad shooting night. I'm guessing it was a let down from not playing Carolina and peppering their asses.

The Cuse overall 7th in the country giving up 58.2 pts/game while 218th in offense at 70 pts/game. The offense has to pick it up and so does the rebounding overall. I agree with Jonvi though tournament time with hopefully Keita back that back line of the zone is a bitch to deal with. Id still like to see the Cuse pound the ball even more inside and Ennis take it to the hole more often for him and easy baskets to his teammates. Depth tournament time isnt an issue unless another guy goes down which I obviously dont want to see happen or foul trouble. Getting the number one overall seed would be huge to stay in the N.Y. area with those great Cuse fans. Boston College would be a great game and time for the Cuse to handle there business easily and early to get some of the younger guys some playing time. Go Cuse!!!

I give Duke the advantage at home but I believe it will be another great game.
