Watching Jamie Maggio interview Jeanie Buss. Pretty sure this erection is going to last more than 4 hours.

then don't call a doctor. call a neighbor...

Was actually a really good interview. I liked a lot of what she had to say.

On a "farewell tour" for Kobe: She said she didn't think Kobe would be interested in a farewell tour and that it's up to him if he's even going to retire. She commented on how rare it is, and is going to continue to be, for a player to play for 20 years with the same organization. She said the Lakers have some things planned that "haven't been done before" to honor his 20 years.

On Byron: She said that Byron was handed a very difficult job and the injuries just made it a lot worse. She liked that he has a direction that he wanted the team to go and he stuck to it for the entire season and never wavered. She also liked that the players played hard for him all season long.

On Lakers standards of success: Those standards have not been lowered despite the record of the past 2 seasons. She also said that any players who don't pull their weight, won't be part of the organization.

On next season/the future: She said that with the young nucleus of Clarkson, Randle and whoever they take in the draft, plus Kobe and if they get a couple of the FA's they have targeted, it should be a fun year.

Well, you need to fill out a 15 man roster, so some cheap end of the bench guys are necessary. Plus he's a big dude for our likely new rookie center to bang around against in practice. It's looking less and less likely that Hill will be on the team.

Not for $9m a year.

Sacre is one of the few if not the only Lakers player that has been healthy the last three years for the whole season. His game is slowly improving and he'll be a good off-the-bench player and he's a 7-footer. So yea, for the price he is a definite keeper at this point.

I know I'm in the minority here, but I actually like Sacre and he has improved his game over the last 3 seasons.

he reminds me alot of another Gonzaga player the Lakers drafted- Turiaf.

alot of what those type of players do don't show up on stat sheets- the hustle plays to keep a ball alive, etc. you can always use guys like that coming off the bench.:2cents:

No problem with the Lakers picking up his option. As others have said, he's a cheap, end of the bench type player. He can also give a couple of decent minutes here and there, seems to be a good guy in the locker room, knows his place and seems to love being a Laker.

Turiaf was better than Sacre. He could make those plays so he could fit his way into a decent team for 15 to 20 minute a game. Sacre spends most of his time looking lost and wouldn't crack a rotation that had any real talent on the roster. His skill is he's tall and has 6 fouls.

I would much rather have Turiaf personally. That said, keeping Sacre as a 3rd center doesn't really hurt anything, and he seems like a really good locker room and public relations guy.

Swaggy's basketball camp is starting up soon. I'm guessing the kids won't be learning much about defense and passing.

He's no Kent Bazemore circa Golden State but his towel waving game is on point.
