I freaking knew that not scoring a run with runners on 2nd and 3rd with no outs in the 9th was going to come back to haunt us.

So in the most important game of the series/season where the Yanks can reduce the Jays lead to 1 in the loss column we have freaking Ivan Nova going. This would have been Tanaka's start if he did not get hurt.

Nova won't last 5 tmr

I was at a friend's condo about a half mile from the Dome. When Navarro hit that blast, we were on the patio and you could hear the roar from inside the stadium quite loudly.

I really can't believe they loaded the bases in the 8th and 9th and still managed to lose. This isn't the fucking time for this shit.

Pretty sad that we only have 3 good pitchers in the pen.

Nice job of showing up tonight offense

Can still go wrong - gotta go to Tampa which never bodes well for the Jays but yeah it looks pretty set.

That Russell homer was huge. I kept picturing a ninth inning collapse until that point.

Yanks will need to finish the season on an incredible run and Toronto would need to choke if we want to win the division. Only way I can see the Yanks forcing a one game playoffs for the division (because I can't see them making up 4 games in 10/11 games) is if they go 9-2 while Toronto goes 5-5 to end the season. Toronto losing 5 games is very possible IMO with the schedule you guys have but the Yanks winning 9 of 11? Highly unlikely. If I had to guess I'll say the Yankees finish 90-72 and the Jays finish 92-70

Was watching the Astros Angels game today for obvious reasons

Astros moronic annoucners thought that because the twins get home field in a game 163 for having a better division record than Astros.

That the Astros get home field in the WC because they won head to head with Yankees.

That's when you know your franchise hasn't won in a while. You don't know the rules.

Actually thats true cause twins/astros are tied h2h so it goes by div record
If the head-to-head record is tied, then division record will be the next tiebreaker.:suds:

Yeah the more I've looked at it I think I'm just being pessimistic as fuck because this is so unusual. This team was 50-51 and they've gone 37-14 since then. I'm not giving them the credit they deserve. And if Stroman continues to pitch like that I am far less concerned about pitching than I was a week ago.

At the same time, the offense has slowed. Donaldson isn't having the best go of it lately. Hopefully that changes in 6 games vs. Tampa and 4 vs. the shitbirds.

The ALDS can be very interesting if it remains the same. I think the Yanks can give the Royals all they can handle and Texas/Toronto would be really really good

Royals' stretch is pretty bad, too - Cleveland, the Twins, and a 4 gamer in Chicago in which one game is against the Cubs and then 3 against the Sox who swept them a couple weeks ago.

Really, really hoping Toronto can overtake them because I fear Texas more than any other team right now.

I'm talking about them thinking they would have home field on the Yankees who will finish with a better record by about 5 games lol
