Given the state of Michigan football right now, I guess you could say they "crushed" them... relatively speaking. PSU isn't in much better shape than Michigan right now. It's a shame Hackenberg has no OL to work with.

Yeah bums makes some mindboggling posts if he actually said the tigers seasons mean nothing if they dont win it all. I havent seen him say that but it wouldnt be surprising. At the same time though he makes the statement that the royals extra inning win to advance to the ALCS was a more meaningful game than any of the tigers playoff games the past ten years. Lol.

I actually agree with the opinion if you dont win it all it doesnt matter. Maybe in High School and College it does but not in the Pros, 2nd place means nothing...

Yeah other than college basketball and maybe college football with a BCS bowl win(now a playoff berth) it really doesn't mean much of anything if you don't win it all.

The ride would be fun but not winning it all kinda leaves you with an empty feeling... It's fun for the fans but I promise you the players don't feel good about finishing 2nd unless they don't care and are just in it for the $$$

The only reason it doesn't get lumped in is because it means you are probably a good team and may have a shot the following season other than that 2nd or last it doesn't matter...

It may, but only in the context of setting up a year to win a World Series- which is always the response to this. Much like how winning seasons are always superior to losing seasons. In the macro frame though, it is always WS or bust. Always has been my opinion in every sport. I also believe getting into the playoffs should always be the primary goal, realistically, as the playoffs in MLB, CBB, NFL, and I suspect CFB will end up being a SSS fight, but it does not diminish the WS or bust- it just changes the approach of how you go about winning championships.

I can agree it was a awesome do or die game. The fact it was a WC play in takes a little thunder away. KC finishes off this season in the direction they are heading. IMO and only to me, it pushes that game back to best classic game seven style game ever.

Three comebacks to win was sweet.

Will KC see another elimination game this year?
