No it was all gardy and rick Anderson. You don't watch the team every single game and know how badly he mismanages. Throws guys under the bus, favors utility crap like himself. It's why every player has success away from here. Span wasted no time saying that while celebrating with the Nats.

I'm sick of the contract thing. We could go out and sign Scherzer and shields right now. Mauers contract means nothing even piece of shit nolascos 49 mil is fine. Our team salary is in the 70 mils we have owners who can afford a salary solidly over 100.

Mauers contract lol. It sucks, but it isn't holding us back.

Saying a team can spend the money and actually spending the money is two different things. EVERY owner in the MLB can afford to spend the money. That is why they are able to buy a MLB team to begin with.

I'm not sure what you mean about Span? What has Span done that he didn't do in Minnesota? His average was a little better, but everything else is pretty much where his numbers were in Minnesota.

As far as signing Scherzer and Shields -- unless Minnesota is going to much higher than 100 million -- they couldn't sign both guys. They will both demand 25+ million a year. Hell -- Scherzer turned down an absurd amount from the Tigers. It will take some serious cash to sign him and Shields has been just as good as Scherzer.

I know how a manager always falls on the sword when a team struggles, but Minnesota has had a brutal pitching staff the last couple years. Not much a manager can do if you don't have the arms to be successful.

I will take your word though -- you watch the Twins on a daily basis and making the fans happy is all that matters when a manager is fired. As long as the fans are happy the team made the right call.

Span just said that he was glad to not be held back in Minnesota anymore. No one likes it hear with the clown car driven by Ron.

Cuddy, Moreau, liriano, worley(seriously look at his stats with the minny years sandwiched), lohse(another who ron sent out) I think Ortiz goes without saying the list is extensive. Then you see all our singing that suck outside Hughes.

Has Gibson developed? No. May? Fuck no. May is thought a lot more highly than freaking lobstein. We were praying May could stay under 8era.

No one gets better. We need a pitching coach and hitting coach too. Ron wasn't the only issue, but he was the main issue. Say by to him and his posse leaves too.

He should have been fired years ago, I don't put much stock in the last few years, he hasn't had much to work with but when he did have good teams he mismanaged them beyond belief.

Arcia is actually a shaky outfielder, but you picked the wrong series seeing as he had like 4 sliding catches and played great out there.

Am I missing something or was Gardenhire the GM as well? I have no idea what the hierarchy is in Minnesota, but the coach doesn't have much say in player personnel. If a player is traded or signed, that usually falls on the GM.

Doug, I've gotta ask. Have you been diagnosed with autism? Or at the very least aspergers?

None of that had anything to do with anything other than the fact those players didn't perform under gardy and did elsewhere.

Gardy thought Ortiz should be a singles hitter for fucks sake.

Actually Gardy had the ear of Ryan, he wanted to keep Matthew LeCroy and let David Ortiz walk... So...

Gardy was NOT a good manager...

gardy knew how to beat the Tigers. he was always aggressive. He just didn't have enough talent.

Biggest mistake was when the Indians fired Acta. why they let him go. he was a good manager

Unfortunately for Twins fans he didn't know how to beat the Yankees!
