Bullpen arms are not meant to go every other day for 162 games... and the Royals have 4 guys that could easily make 81 appearances this season... that is crazy. Lets see how all those innings look in Sept...

That last twins inning proved my point on what can happen when you actually take some pitches.

4 runs with 2 walks.

Sano with a 10 year vet type of walk. Beauty.

The Royals actually have a perfect recipe for a team to completely tank... No real top end starter to count on... no one on offense, that now only has one guy over .300 and everyone is dropping outside of cain... a bullpen can't do much for you if you don't have the lead when they come in... and as the season goes on... guys like young, guthrie, duffy, ventura are not going to get better... so that means more innings for an already well worked pen. They don't have a balanced offense.. they don't draw walks... they don't hit for power... If the starter struggles... its pretty much a rap... and that will get worse as the innings pile up. Unless something major happens and they make a trade for a top end starter or top end bat... the royals do not look like a real contender. Missing Gordon is going to hurt... and if the karma from the royals fans making fun of tigers fans when miggy was hurt keeps up like I predict... Gordon won't be the last injury...

My pick for AL World Series rep.... Yankees.. and I am not a Yankee fan at all. They will make a move at the trade deadline for sure... and if its for Cueto or one of the other top end arms... they will be a very balanced team and hard to beat.

I still think Boston wins the East.

Been saying that I see this coming too.

If Toronto gets a damn starter and stops losing close games they should do it easy but who knows.

No way the Red Sox make a run.. their starting rotation is god awful as is Toronto's.... to put together long winning streaks you need to have all 5 starters pitching well.. that is never going to happen for the Red Sox this year..

I think they both make the playoffs.

The best team ERA in the AL belongs to the team with the worst record. And that team's best pitcher is losing to the fucking Twins right now.

The fucking second best record in AL twins right now!!!

On another note. I was completely oblivious to the fact that Santana isn't eligible to pitch in playoffs for us should we actually make it, wow.

It's barely worse than Detroits....
Tiger offense is also much better in just about any catagory you want to look at... Neither the jays or red sox are making the playoffs... that would mean one would win the al east.. and the other would finish second... the orioles and yankees are both better... more balanced teams... and that doesn't take in to consideration that the second place from the AL central and AL west both have better records than the al east first place team right now...

The second place finisher in the AL east is NOT making the playoffs... they would have to leapfrog 3 teams just to get the second wild card.

AL East Winner - Yankees
AL Central Winner - Twins
AL West Winner - Astros

Wild Card 1- Angels
Wild Card 2 - Royals

That is my prediction... which I hope is wrong

That's why you need to pay thru the teeth for Price! (Tommy milone's got it, don't worry. And Pelfry. Nobody wants to face that in October.)

Seriously we will give you guys Pelfrey and Shane "scrappy" Robinson for Price.

And I'm thinking maybe Nolasco and a year supply of hugs to Cincy for Cueto.

I'll be purchasing playoff tickets in bulk!!

The Royals are winning the Central man. There's no getting around it. Next year is now.

I don't particularly care for Baltimore's pitching even if it's currently head and shoulders better than Boston and Toronto. Tillman and Jimenez especially.

I do like the Os defense a lot. Especially Hardy/Machado on the left side. Kinda drives me nuts that Machado never gets any run with Trout and Harpers douche ass. He's the superior defender by a mile and is a damn fine hitter. But I don't think he gets the chance for PS glory this year.
