Pudge brought them back. Then Maggs.

JV gave up a couple Little League Field homers tonight. Dudes gonna be fine.
so true smitty..so true. his 2nd start of the year pop flys about 320 ft. if it was at Comerica...verlander be a winner. like I said 2nd start of the year, he threw around 110 pitches. JV just needed to stretch out a start or 2

Kinsler is having a tough year. he cant catch a break. swinging at terrible pitches.he has lost his confidence.

that play he tried to score on...the ball bounced right off the tarp to Hadley and a great throw just to nail him at the plate. that's just how it is going for kinsler all year

that line was pretty funny, give you that. How a 17-9 pitcher doesn't help a team get to the postseason after 20 years is pretty strange, no matter how many years in the league. JV was a major impact, from 06 to 13, guy was one of the best pitchers in the game. I really can't believe this is even debatable. The type of pitcher he is now, very debatable.
You didn't say help, you said brought.

Jeremy Bonderman was 14-8 in '06. Almost had an ERA under 4.00. Almost. Career year for that ugly bulldog.

He helped too.

Kenny Rogers was also 17-8 in 06. A lot of arms helped.

I won't stop anyone from gushing over JV's greatness longterm though.

Have at it. Couldn't say it any better myself.

Only I'm not afraid of its return, I look forward to it.

Royals will get a taste come August. Big Fat Billy is gone, so Justin should cruise.

JV will hit at least 97mph next outing. I expect a gem in his next outing. and you know iam not a homer...word..

tonights yankee pitcher got crushed in his last outing. we need JD to get the bat on theball tonight.he can flip it easy in that right field porch he don't need to over swing tonight. he tried to crush the ball every AB last night don't think he even fouled one off..

I hope KC sees a lot of Verlander again this year.

Just glad Max left, great game again today.

fair enough, you have to have hitting as well to be successful, Ivan, Maggs, Miggy, but it doesn't mean Verlander hasn't also been the constant in the Tigers big winning years. He has been very valuable to the run the Tigers put up. He showed up, Tigers started winning, dissappears this year and the Tigers are back to .500. That was my point, I wasn't trying to take away from the hitters.

The orginal point of Verlander's contract, now has more influence to his teams success than his pitching.

Verlander's had a great run with the Tigers. 5 or 6 very good/ASG caliber seasons and two seasons (2011-12) where he was unquestionably the best pitcher in the AL, if not all of MLB. And he's done his part in the postseason (3.39 ERA in 98.1 innings), even if it hasn't translated to any titles.

Game is far from over but if the score remains the same, Detroit will improve their record vs the Yanks this year to 2-5:clap:

You want a cookie? Yanks won another series. I would much rather be the team winning 2 of 3 instead of the one losing 2 of 3 all the time

Twins bats won't wake up because one of our best run producers is stuck in AAA because he "failed" his fucking rehab assignment.

4 players 24 or younger in baseball with a career OPS+ with 500 or more ABs higher than Arcia.

He's the next twins player to get shipped off and excel else where. Like clockwork.

Take a Chicago White Sox team that's supposed to hit. They come out of the gate and after a month, tops, they stop hitting. It doesn't matter who the manager is, it doesn't matter who the hitting coach is, it doesn't matter who the players are. They. Just. Stop. Hitting.

I've followed other teams over the years, and once in a while they'll go into a hitting slump, but not regularly like the Sox. The last time I saw a team do what the Sox do almost every year was I think the 1959 Tigers. I have to admit they were worse; their team batting average was under .200 at the all star break, and Kaline was leading the team batting .235.

@There is A Moose at 3rd

Bringing the wife to KC over the 4th weekend. Figure I will take in a game at the K. Where is the best place to sit there? I want good seats for the game. She wants good seats for the fireworks afterwards. Appreciate the help in advance!
