Sorry, but Torii Hunter hasn't done anything this year to put him in ASG consideration. He's a corner OFer with a 111 OPS+ and he's been a well below average fielder for several years now.

Helluva career though. Struggled in his first few years (batted .266/.313/.391 (76 OPS+) in his first 241 games from 97-00). And then he went on to be an above average/All-Star caliber player for over a decade. Gotta be patient with young players. ;-)

There is so much more to baseball. And a lot of time it's helps to just watch and collect yourself rather than just blindly follow advanced stats that really no one bothers with anyways.

And from what I've seen in the Sox-Twins games this year, his range looked very limited.

But yeah, keep asserting you know more because you watch Twins games and we don't. Methinks Twins fans are a bit caught up in the Torii Hunter nostalgia.

People would have been silly in declaring Trout a bust in August 2011 though. How many players ever make it to the majors at the age of 19? Very few. How many hold their own at that age? Even fewer.
