Twins offense has become non existent but we got a double header split today and gained more on the Kitties!!

Go for the series split tomorrow. Let's see what Milone figured out in AAA.

Sox lineup continues to suck. Shitty, especially given how well Buchholz/Rodriguez/Porcello pitched.

Sonny Gray had 7 strikeouts and 14 groundouts tonight. 0 flyouts.

Sorry, but Torii Hunter hasn't done anything this year to put him in ASG consideration. He's a corner OFer with a 111 OPS+ and he's been a well below average fielder for several years now.

Helluva career though. Struggled in his first few years (batted .266/.313/.391 (76 OPS+) in his first 241 games from 97-00). And then he went on to be an above average/All-Star caliber player for over a decade. Gotta be patient with young players. ;-)

Idk how many times I have to tell you that your dumb advanced OPS+ metrics are not the be all end all.

There is so much more to baseball. And a lot of time it's helps to just watch and collect yourself rather than just blindly follow advanced stats that really no one bothers with anyways.

Even if you ignore OPS+, he's ranked:
22nd in BA among outfielders
34th in OBP
25th in SLG%

And from what I've seen in the Sox-Twins games this year, his range looked very limited.

But yeah, keep asserting you know more because you watch Twins games and we don't. Methinks Twins fans are a bit caught up in the Torii Hunter nostalgia.

1. I do know more

2. I never said he should an All Star

3. You conveniently leave out the stats that point to scoring runs. You know..how you win?

Hunter is second in RBI and 10th in runs of outfielders. And that's with me counting Nelson Cruz as an outfielder. Otherwise it would be first and 9th.

Lol don't get sour because you blindly sit on the computer and let statisticians do all the work for you. Sitting back and judging talent works too and is so much more fun.

Thank fucking lord I didn't let the "metrics" in August sway me from telling all my buddies that Mike Trout was going to be more than just a All Star talent. I'd be a goddamn punchline right now.

Torii is producing at a extremely high level right now and every team would make room to get him in their lineup. All I said was he should be higher than 14th in the voting especially when you considered the actual top 15 list right now.

this was especially hilarious. because, you know, "the metrics" just HATE Mike Trout.

Major League Leaderboards 2015 Batters Dashboard | FanGraphs Baseball

yup.

Hahahahahahhahahahahahhahahah

What the hell does Mike Trout 2015 have to do with Mike Trout 2011?

We all know he's a fucking God right now. I mean, most of us can tell just by watching him while followers like yourself wait to be shown...but we all agree on that.

Are you just stupid or was there a meaning behind this?

O I see the miscue I accidentally auto corrected out the 2011 part on my post.

Still would hope that it would be clear enough.

I'll follow through next time.

1. Those are his 2012-15 stats.
2. You didn't say 2011, you simply said "August."

You could have meant just about anything by saying that.

People would have been silly in declaring Trout a bust in August 2011 though. How many players ever make it to the majors at the age of 19? Very few. How many hold their own at that age? Even fewer.

And I just realized you said he should be getting votes, not that he should be in. There's a lot of miscommunication going on. Lol

Yeah I forget with people like you and Doug I gotta make sure to color by numbers and lay it out for you.

But it is only June...so considering August hasn't happened yet.

And I said "going to be more than an All Star" talent. Context would point to pre 3 All Stars, MVP and 2 runner ups.

And lastly the fact that his first real run came in August of that season I typed to fast to mention.

My bad though. Was always taught not to assume people can follow along. I'll make sure it doesn't happen again.

But...alas my point stands. So there's that, sugar tits.
