I don't know what EITHER one will hit but I do know the odds Historically are heavy in the favor of a 32, 33, 34 player over a 37,38,39 yr old player, to have better numbers.

take a look at joe mauers last few years.. and take a look at Vmarts... Without the knee injury.. its not even close.

I will COMPLETELY agree, I would take VMARTS last 3 seasons over MAUERS at their price tags...but there is NO WAY ON THE PLANET I would bet on a 37,38,39 yr old MLB hitter- I don't care what his name is.

i would put my money on vmart to have the better year this year... joe mauer may not even play out his contract... he may be younger.. but he is just as injury prone.

you do realize that coming off a major knee injury vmart still hit more HR in 20 less games.. only had 2 less RBI.. and struck out 60 times less.... While only hitting .15 points lower.. Mauer was healthy and he barely put up a better batting average.
