Yes, as I recall, he made a point about Castellanos having more RBI than Moose.... LOL, I'll accept that comparison. Since Moose moved down in the order, he easily caught and passed Castellanos (79 to72). Nick is only 23, though, and we'll have to see where he is at age 27.

Nick still has a chance, agree still young, but his strikeout rates are a big red flag. He needs to get sent down for a while, worked with Alex Gordon and might have with Moose it seems before he becomes Dallas McPherson or more currently Justin Smoak.

Agree, I'm not thrilled with Nick's strike zone judgment.

I'm sorry...I don't see giving Castellanos any more time, but seeing as how Detroit has no replacement in sight, another year of him at 3B is inevitable. Fangraph list him as 20th of the 21 qualified MLB 3Bs, ahead of only Sandoval. Castellanos' DefWar is 3rd worst, actually regressing. Seems obvious that Castellanos is that jammed finger on your hand that you just have to live with for awhile.

Does fangraphs also list him as 23 years old?

Almost every player is 23 at one point. Does not mean much. Brennan Boesch was 23. Al Kaline was 23. Your point is meaningless.

every thing has him listed as 23, well because he is 23....a stat you can't twist but I am sure your trying to think of a way.

vice "well he is actually 22 because you don't have the info I am privy to. I know his folks and It was changed after he left the little league WS"

You two are idiots... I am well aware he is 23... that is why I posted it.. My point is he is younger than guys like Kris Bryant who just came up a few months ago and writing him off now is about as stupid as posting that Hernan Perez BA with the Brewers is .235 when in reality it is .262.

or as stupid as saying Tigers payroll 161 when actually 173 when comparing to other opening day payrolls. got it.

I will write off Steven Moya already and guarantee it and he is 24.

Why in god's green earth are you guys arguing about Castellanos? We need to be talking about the Tigers throwing the last 4 games of the year to assure a top 10 pick.

Has (or will) Avila be changing the scouting corp? If not....I don't think it will really matter if the Tigers pick 8th or 12th in next summers draft. Tigers may just sign the first kid named 'Avila' anyhow. Or the best "23" year old they can find....seems that age is somehow critical! LMAO

Picking 12th means they lose the pick if they sign a free agent that has a qualifying offer iffy... picking 8th they do not...that is the difference.

I don't see many people responding to your posts vice....might want to reconsider your ''ignore'' list.

In fact this place is rather a good spot to check out crickets.

and then you compared it to other team's opening day payroll's, its not hard for everyone to see how you directly manipulated them...got it and Boston's 187m you used to actually compare it to then would actually be 145m.

then talk and talk and talk til you actually believe you post good info. Just keep talking, people will believe you "more", lol
