Someone please tell the Royals to break out the brooms next time they play the Tigers. We don't want to win pointless games at the end of the season. We need to stay in the top 10 for our draft pick, so we don't lose our 1st round pick on whatever FA's we signed in the offseason.

We don't want to see the Tigers brooming anyone. We sit with the 8th pick overall in the next draft, but we are only 2 games from the 11th pick.

If I remember correctly -- if you have a top 10 pick, it is protected if you sign a FA in the offseason. If we drop to the 11th pick and try to sign a starting pitcher (which we definitely need to), we will lose the 1st round pick.
