I think Rosario is holding him back. Rosario is better defensively, and faster. Arcia struggled with the outfield in 2014, and his slow start with the bat in 2015 did not help with coaches. Again, they claim he needs to work on hitting lefties.
I do think they should call him up. It is his turn.
Pierzynski just rubs me the wrong way. Never liked him. He would bring a better bat, a lefty one at that, and a good PH when not catching. But then if we are PH catchers we would need to carry three. Not a bad idea, and if you have lost faith in Suzuki, then a good idea.
Is either Adam Walker or Max Keppler a lefty?
Kepler is.
Rosario hasn't taken 2 balls in an at bat that I can remember in about 10 games. The guy makes Arcia look like he's got Bonds patience. And Arcia also draws intentional walks.
We let Santana play bad D. We can't keep having sub .300 OBPs in our lineup like Suzuki. Santana and Rosario.
You don't need 3 catchers to pinch hit. Teams do it all the time late in games if they actually have a catcher capable.
That's another thing that blows...our bench. Arcia and Aj would help that immediately
