W - South Alabama

W - @ Colorado: Nebraska started 2018 with a cancelled game against Akron (lightning). Therefore their 1st game was against Colorado who was playing their 2nd game after tuning up against Colorado St. Non-the-less Colorado still only won the game by 5 points (33-28).

W - Northern Illinois

W - @ Illinois

? - Ohio State: Beat Nebraska 36-31 in the 9th game of the season in Columbus. Led 30-21 at the end of 3rd Q. Nebraska outscored them 10-6 in the 4th Q. Offensive stats were fairly equal. Early enough in the season, on the road, with a brand new QB and no Urbs.

W - Northwestern

W - @ Minnesota

W - Indiana

W - @ Purdue

? - Wisconsin: Caught Nebraska early (5th game) in a 41-24 win in Madison.

W - Maryland

? - Iowa: Needed a last second FG in Iowa City to beat Nebraska 31-28 in the final game of regular season. Need to replace their two 1st round draft picks at TE.

Nebraska had a true freshman QB (Adrian Martinez) last season that flipped an (0-6) start into a (4-2) finish in losses @Ohio St (5 pts) and @Iowa (3 pts).

Frost has previously developed fine QB's. Particularly Marcus Mariota and McKenzie Milton.

Oregon/Mariota 'Total Offense' Rank:

2012 RS Fr (4th) (49.6 PPG),
2013 SO (2nd) (45.5 PPG),
2014 JR (1st) (45.4 PPG).

Oregon/Adams Total Offense Rank:

2015 (SR) *Transfer (8th) (43 PPG)

UCF/Milton Total Offense Rank:

2016 True FR (99th) (28.8 PPG),
2017 SO (7th) (48.2 PPG)

Nebraska/Martinez Total Offense Rank:

2018 True FR (49th) (30 PPG)

(0-6) start - 23 PPG
(4-2) finish - 36 PPG

In Frost's 2nd year, Nebraska's gonna be better tuned, more disciplined, and better up-front on both sides of the ball. Huskers are likely to add 10 PPG minimum offensively. I also expect Nebraska to be 7 PPG better on defense this season. They averaged 38 PPG defensively in their (0-6) start, but finished (4-2) at 24 PPG defensively.

If Nebraska had averaged 40 PPG offensively last season and were 7 PPG better on defensively they finish (11-1).

Huskers should win 9 games on the minimum.

We totally understand.

You didn’t qualify academically for Iowa Western CC.

Everybody already knew that after seeing your predictions.

I thought I'd start this year out with Nebraska, since a lot of them have finally come up for air.

I think Scott Frost will get it done, but not sure it's this year.
Could get lucky, might not.

W - South Alabama. Had to look it up, yep, it's a real team.

L - @ Colorado. This isn't your grandfather's Colorado, and I'm not even sure what that means.

W - Northern Illinois. Yep, didn't have to look this one up/they real.

W - @ Illinois. Everyone beats Illinois.

L - Ohio State. It doesn't matter where this game is played, Ohio State wins this.

W - Northwestern. It's in Lincoln, for god's sake.

W - @ Minnesota. Nebraska hitting their stride, Frost rolling

W - Indiana. If you can't beat Indiana, who can you beat.

W - @ Purdue. Even being upstartedy, Purdue gets throttled. It's getting Frosty.

L - Wisconsin. Reality sets in. WTF.

W - Maryland. Had to flip a coin, came up Huskers.

L - Iowa. Iowa just too much for Iowa 2.0.

I'm seeing 8-4

I'm probably wrong.

.

Just curious, but how does this line up with this?

I'm going with the safe bets:

BIG
Michigan
Nebraska

With 3 conference losses, in order for this to line up... you must be thinking that Iowa and Wisconsin are REALLY going to have a shit season and I wouldn't blame you for that.

I see 5 wins, tops. Frost doesn't have what it takes to out-coach most opponents coaches, so I see this as a big problem. Cornhuskers will continue to disappoint and I'm certain their "heart and determination" will be questioned again this upcoming season.
