A Curious Question

The other day on the general board the conversation came up about campers and vechicles used to pull them. It got me to thinking so I researched veh tow capacities and the Pathfinder had a 6k tow capacity more then enough for a pop up or the other type I was shown. But it had a CVT I wonder how CVT does at towing I would think horrible. Anyone know?
