There is not a team outside of New England that is better coached and better prepared than the Giants are. The 49ers are not a more balanced club than the Giants, in fact I think the Giants are the best balanced team in football. I think though that playing at home could be the difference in the game. The Giants have got to be road-weary by now. This just seems to be the 49ers year. I don't see the Niners losing this game.
That's your opinion and you are certainly entitled to it..But when comparing running games, I'm more satisfied with Gore and the Niner ground game than I am with the duo of Jacobs/Bradshaw. When it comes in terms of total overall defense, I prefer the Niners Defense as opposed to the Giants front 4. When it comes to special teams I prefer the combination of Andy Lee and David Akers as opposed to Lawrence Tynes and Steve Weatherford. And in terms of the return game I prefer a healthy Ted Ginn over Devin Thomas and Scot. Give the edge to the Giants in terms of Wr's and Quarterback, no argument. But in terms of overall team, the Niners are better balanced than what the NY Giants present. As far as preparedness is concerned, you can look at your coach of choice and make an argument tangible or intangible, so I simply default to the number of NFC title game appearances Tom has had or lack there of I should say despite the enormous amounts of talent he's armed with year in and year out and how many late season playoff runs he's needed to stave off elimination from unemployment to discredit his "leading the best prepared group outside of New England." The fact that he has not taught his Quarterback not to create silly throws over the middle despite stepping into the face of a pass rush as evidenced last week as credence to what I'm discussing.
