ok, i'm fine either way.

my biggest concern is, if we get a lead will we go conservative allowing the giants to stay in? not sure if vernon can have 2 games in a row where he doesn't drop anything. crabtree is gonna have to step up or our passing game might not go anywhere.
i'm expecting gore to have a huge game. he's due for a couple big runs.
I think the Giants will sit in zone coverage and make Alex beat them underneath in tight coverage. We are not a vertical team so we don't really go deep often. That means we will need some slants and screens and for that to happen Crabs and Gore need to catch the damn ball.
The Giants are a good team and they do play vertical like the Saints off the play action. Goldson needs to scheme like he did vs the Saints, pretend to sit in the middle and then make a break on the ball on either side. Can the Smtih brothers do it again...I think so.
The one thing I can think that hinders us is experience, the Giants have been here, we have not.
Good point, at some point you throw it out and play the game. Interesting fact I saw:
"When the Giants drop back to pass on 60 percent of their snaps, they’re just 3-7 this season including their Week 10 loss to the 49ers (61.4 percent). But they’re 8-0 when calling more than 40 percent run plays, including all four games in their current win streak. "
Why the Giants need to rush the 49ers - Stats & Info Blog - ESPN
If we shut down their run (a good probability) we can take away the play action and make them play like the Saints, one dimensional.
Hate is probably too strong of a word to use, so I'll say that the bolded is probably one of the worst stats that I've ever seen be taken into account. My gripe is of course you probably have a losing record when you pass 60% of the time, YOU HAVE TO PASS when your losing. Thats the only way to try and get back into the game. Then to go a step further, of course you probably have a winning record when you rush at least 40% of the time, your putting the game away. You don't throw passes to stop the clock when you have a lead late. Give me a break, jeez!
It'll come down to Akers needing to hit a 37 yard FG to win the game. So get your booze set up.
With Akers sending the 49ers to the Super Bowl
I'm whippin' up a huge sized dose of football hate for the Giants and trolling their fans hard on the ESPN boards.
This WILL be epic blowout of a mediocre 9-7 Giants team that doesn't deserve to be in the playoffs.
KILL KILL KILL!!!

I agree that when down you have to pass....my point was to show that if we can make them one dimensional what can happen.
He had a couple of big runs last week, not sure what you mean by he's due? Maybe you mean he hasn't had a 100 yard game in a while? I think last week was a great day for him, like 89 yards on 14 carries, no drops in the passing game, plus I didn't see him whiff at any blocks.
To add to the Gore topic, I don't think the run game will be very explosive with all this rain they're talking about. I think we'll just run to keep them honest, while focusing on the short passing game.
Are you the dude that was Cali Kid on the Espn board last season, that kept crying about everything and threw a real life tantrum and said you weren't a 49er fan anymore? It would all make sense to me now if that is you.
I think you are thinking of Cocoa who threatened to become a Cowboys fan and perhaps he did - Cal1Kid on the other hand lives in SF and is a die-hard fan.
Another thing: this chatter that the "Giants are running the ball better" doesn't account for the fact that they've been running while ahead late. Absent that condition (and I think that's a fair assumption) we should shut them down. They'll still try, but they won't succeed. Their play/action fakes aren't going to be nearly as effective as they were vs. the Snackers.
Calamity's BOLD prediction
Aldon Smith squeezes 3.5 sacks....
Rogers will return a pic 6.
Alex will throw for over 220 yards and 2 TDs.
Gore will break off a 40+ yrd TD run.
Your right. I don't know why I thought it was that screen name. I knew it started with a C.
My bad Cali Kid, no disrespect, just human error.
