9ers Gave Up On Jenkins Already

Wow!

I can't believe they gave up on their 1st round pick from last season already ( trading him for Jon Baldwin-KC )

Especially with their WR issues already, you would think they would give him more than 2 preseason games to show what he has. And it's not like Baldwin is any better except that he is not a sophomore like Jenkins is.

I'm glad the Rams haven't given up on Quick that fast.

Baldwin has at least shown a little bit. Jenkins showed up fat last year and still doesn't appear to have the necessary drive to compete. Some guys just don't love the game enough.

Well I think it sends a strong message to the team. No B.S. policy.

Maybe he's just that bad. It's kind of the same thing Fisher is doing with the Rams. Look at Jason Smith. Spags & co. kept him around for 2 years. Fisher comes in trades him and gets the better deal because at least Hunter played hard. I agree with their philosophy as in it doesn't matter where you're drafted if you don't play well you're in danger of losing your job.

He had a rep for being Charmin soft. He couldn't get off the line of scrimmage.

And to think: the Rams were the ones talking him up in the draft that year.

I thought the 9ers were going to take Stephen Hill at that spot. They surprised me when they took Jenkins instead.

Then, I thought the Rams would take Hill and they took Quick instead.

Guess you just never know what a team is thinking.

Hill is just as raw as Quick, but starts because of the dearth of healthy WRs with the Jets. Hill also has a lot of drops to this point. I'm still not sold on Hill as a reliable target.

That is true.

But he also has a terrible QB, so it's really hard to say how bad/good he can be when the QB isn't reliable. I still like his upside at this point.

And it's not like the Rams had a plethora of quality WR's last season and Quick still couldn't get on the field.
