He is actually a better playoff pitcher than I thought/remembered...

That's why I took him in a previous draft and I think he was my 4 or 5. Not the best but a good option late in a draft, in this one of course he will go earlier than in most.

That Arrieta bastard is good but damn the Cubs ALWAYS score for that mother fucker.

I hope they can get to Hendricks early. This game could legimately be a 1-0 game but the Cubs offense is heating up so that scares me. Fuck I'm nervous lol

LOLZZZ, 3.81 ERA 1.305 WHIP top 5 for CY? Maybe in a real down year for pitching. History may disagree with me because he won 5 rings but the fact remains he was not as you say "fantastic" in the post season.

He wasn't always the ace of the staff so no he wasn't always facing the other teams best pitcher and as I said he was playing for the Yankees, just keep them in the game and you got a great chance to win.
I'll just file him away with Bill Russell and Emmitt Smith. 20 combined Championships, just spokes in the wheel like Bevo Nordmann, Kevin Gogan and Tino Martinez

lolzzz yeah 20 Championships, fucking impressive, oh wait it's a team game... :thumb:

Also, show me where I said he sucks, if hes your 4th or 5th starter that's very good and I have myself drafted him but to argue he was fantastic is redonkulous.

Do you really think he belongs in the conversation with Bill Russell and Emmitt? WOW, you really like Pettitte...

Hey the Wolves won last night! lolzzz

As long as teams keeping sitting their 2 best players and the third best is injured when the wolves play them they could really go places this year.

Hey our starting point guard didn't play either, that really hurt us!

Luckily Grizzlies sat Conley and sent their summer league team instead so Dunn could play well. If Dunn gets to play against slightly less qualified rookies all year he could take home the RoY!

So, let me get this straight. Andy Pettite as your 4th pitcher is a very good pick, even though he didn't do well in the playoffs, but Justin Verlander as a 4th pitcher is horrible because he sucked in the playoffs, even though he has a much better ERA and WHIP in the playoffs compared to Pettite?

Well, I guess I just found out who has Verlander...

0 - 3 7.20 1.600 in the biggest games of his career is terrible. I am allowed to have an opinion right?

You can have an opinion, sure. Holds a little more water if it is consistent. You can't say one guy is terrible as a 4th starter because he sucks in the post season and then turn around and say another guy is very good as a 4th starter when the first guy has better numbers. But maybe by "postseason", you really mean "world series", since those are the only stats you provided. And I guess those 3 games just cancel out the other 300 or so. So pay no attention to the ROY and Cy Young and MVP awards, he totally sucks because of his play in the series. Unlike Pettite, who is very good with his 4+ ERA and 1.4+ WHIP.

We're talking about a 4th starter in the rotation. That's either serious nitpicking or unjustified hate... in my opinion.

I do think Verlander is over-rated, but he is significantly better than Pettite...

Verlander three World Series starts and lost them all and an ERA of 7.20, I know he has been a great regular season pitcher but I just can't draft someone with numbers like that in the most important games he's ever pitched.

Reading it's FUN duh MENTAL!!!
