That's in 27.6 IP.....no, wait, that's in 276 IP LMAO. That's a full season worth of starting pitching against the very best teams at home and on the road in pressure playoff games. 19-11 with a sub 4 ERA is fantastic for nearly 300 innings when you can't pad your stats against the Twins and Rays lolNo he wasn't he just pitched in the post season more than anybody. ERA 3.81 WHIP 1.305 not very good numbers but when you are pitching for those Yankees teams it was good enough to win 19 games.

Do you have Victor?
@blstoker whoops....I was premature. I thought I took him but it was my plan. I hope you don't trade up to get him now
Well, you don't want any grief for your Vikings or TWolves, I gotta have at least one team to bust your ballsHAHAHAHAA, no it's not fantastic. Funny you used the Twins as they spent a lot more time in the playoffs during Pettitte's career than the Rangers did, lol
No worries there, I rarely trade, but you had me scouring the picks to see where I missed it.

Pettitte had many playoff runs where he was dominant on Championship teams. The ERA would only be solid if it were 35-40 innings, but he threw nearly 300, which drives up his ERA. It's like talking about Pete Rise being a .300 career hitter, which is true, but he also had a 20 year stretch where he hit nearly .330. It's hard for me to hold longevity against a guy

That's spin. A 19-11 season with 276 innings pitched and 3.80 ERA puts you top 5 for a Cy Young award. He put up those numbers facing the best teams throwing their best pitchers. History will disagree with you my friendHey the Wolves won last night! lolzzz
Pettitte was a good starting pitcher who did have some great games, shit take away his 3 starts against the Twins and that ERA is over 4. A 4.06 ERA and a WHIP of 1.403 in the World Series is not dominating, he was a good pitcher who pitched for the Yankees, he didn't need to be fantastic to win just keep 'em in the game.
I can live with this assessment. He's not my #1 or #2Nobody said he wasn't good... But he was helped AND hurt by pitching in so many playoff games... Of course when you have the most playoff games pitched you SHOULD have the most playoff wins, and he does on both...
He has a total of 44 GS in 32 Series, of those 32 series he had 16 of them with an ERA of less than 3.... That is pretty great.... and this is why playing so much also Hurt him, because his numbers dip because of the other 16 series...
In the WS, he pitched 13 games in 8 series, he has an ERA of over 4, and had 3 series of better than 3 ERA...
He had 29 QS in those 44 starts and 7 QS in 13 WS games...
He is certainly better than his career playoff stats show, but I wouldn't call him one of the best playoff pitchers
That's a stunner to meNorv Turner resigns, lolzzz smart man, knows when to jump off a sinking ship...
