D-Backs coming in after just getting swept by Dodgers. Giants MUST stay focused on the task at hand and that's winning these games vs. Arizona. Do not get caught in trap games before LA this weekend. I'm bummed because we probably take 2 of 3, because 6 game losing streaks are rare and the Dogs already got their 3.

We HAVE to at least win all series we play for the rest of the season. We ave 6 vs the Snakes, 7 vs the Friars and 6 vs the doggies. We do not have the luxury of losing any if these series'. We need to take at least 5 from the Snakes and Pads, and at least 4 from the doggies. If we do that, we MIGHT be able to take the west. If not, we might as well start setting up our rotation for Bum to pitch he WC game now.

Doggies have Fausto going against Cashner tonight. That is about as good a matchup as we can hope for.

I think there is a decent chance we gain a game tonight.

Remember, the doggies have a super easy schedule remaining as well (outside of the 6 against us). We cannot count on getting any help in catching them, so we HAVE to bulldoze through our competition. We have to make up 3.5 games, practically without any help.

That was an aggravating inning. Cyrus could not find the plate and could not control his pitches, but we were only able to plate 1, and that was via a walk.
