I find it a bit puzzling that Doval is being used as the set up guy. Seems it would be better to use him as a 6th/7th inning guy until he showed more consistency

He has shown plenty of consistency since his return. He's perfect for this role in a way he might not be as a closer.

I’m looking forward to next year. Hopefully we have our outfield set now with McCray. We just need to stick with Canha/Wade until our future 1st baseman comes along in 2026, who knows maybe sooner. They can decide if Fitz is a better fit at short or 2nd and either Lucy can learn 2nd base or sign someone.
