There goes my Nathan-as-closer-idea.

That first 'hit' he gave up was bad luck, but the game winner was all shit. He's ancient, I forgot that part. I doubt he's good enough to close.

It just would have been so cool to see him come back to the team and really make a significant contribution, and have a hand in getting 'em to the playoffs. It might still happen but....

Bochy needs to be called out on his use of Casilla in high pressure situations. The first few were defensible. This past week has not been.

KCYa has now blown 8 saves and lost 4 games in only 56 appearances, making his save percentage 78%. That means he is losing or blowing the lead every 5th time he touches the ball. Why does Noggin continue to go to this guy?!?

If he only blew half those games, we'd be tied with the Dogs.

Bleep!

I am all frustrated out. This is just funny at this point.

I'm pretty chill. The season may end up being a bad one but I always felt I was more than satisfied with 3 rings and I really was. It's hard to get too upset about the team.

Maybe the window is closing/closed. I was just noticing how the best teams seem to have lots of young, new talent. The Cubs being obvious, but also the Red Sox, Astros, Dodgers, Cards, etc. That used to be us in 2010-2012. Seems like our new blood is ok to good but not really really good like those teams.

Maybe time to rebuild? Maybe not, just spitballing here...

ANd let's be clear, there's 23 games left and we are in the playoffs as of now.

Team is now 1-9 in those loses and/or blown saves of his. Dude needs to be bumped to the 6th or 7th inning, if not the dumpster fire games.

Noggin is loyal to his guys, to the point of mental illness. (Trying the same thing again and again and hoping for a different outcome.)

And here we go with the 'we know more than Bochy' stuff. It's our right as fans, but, y'know...

Add in this:

Pagan is probably part of the revamp next year (as in not coming back). I imagine we replace Pagan, Casilla, Blanco, Cain (yep), and I'd have to check the bully contracts to see who else won't be back.

Mutts win and Tards lost. That means we only have a half game cushion for the playoffs at this point.

There will be big changes come next year, me thinks. The blow up would have come after 2014 had they not had a miraculous SECOND turn around, but that ain't coming this year.

Bam Bam - gone
Kelly - gone
Pagan - gone
PV - gone
Belt - traded??
Cain - probably stuck with him
Casilla - gone
Lopez - gone
Gardner - maybe a sacrificial lamb, but I doubt it. (Sorry, LHG)

There will be trades. There HAVE to be trades. The clubhouse has become stale. These guys just don't have the hunger anymore.

This is just absolutely unbelievable. I am not sure if the balk-off was the catalyst of this whole thing, but SOMETHING had to be.

Since when did the Richmond bullpen coach all of a sudden begin coaching the Giants' bully?

I put this loss on the guys actually throwing the baseball not the manager who asked them to do their jobs

I would imagine that Noggin is as frustrated as anyone. And he really has no choice but to keep throwing KCYa out there. KCYa is the closer. If Noggin moves him to the 6th inning, we really have no one else to close, and KCYa will lost confidence, not that he has any left now anyway.

See my post above, it might indeed be time to rebuild. Then again, we might win the World Series again....EYIAT

Yeah it's tough. It would be easier if there was an obvious replacement but there really isn't. Law maybe? Seems a bit soon in a playoff chase.
