And the bats are back to their slumbering ways.
It should be noted that the 2nd home run was hit by the 4th string Sept. call up catcher. So what do you throw to rookies who are pure fastball hitters? Throw 'em fastballs down the middle.
All of a sudden it is 4-3
No bueno.
Giants' bats better keep up.
On a related note, isn't Raimel Tapia an appetizer I had in Sayulita?Five and dive for Suarez, I'm thinking. Can't be walking people.
and on a related, related note: Suarez says "I can walk 'em if I pick 'em off"On a related note, isn't Raimel Tapia an appetizer I had in Sayulita?

Or say he used a gorked bat.Can we say for Hernandez home runs that he Gorked it?
1. Eduardo Nunez (R) 3B
2. Angel Pagan (S) LF

4. Hunter Pence (R) RF
5. Gorkys Hernandez (R) CF
6. Brandon Belt (L) 1B
7. Brandon Crawford (L) SS
8. Kelby Tomlinson (R) 2B
9. Albert Suarez (R) P
no Span, no Dozens.
5-3 good guys.
Wait, what?It should be noted that the 2nd home run was hit by the 4th string Sept. call up catcher.
I would have liked to have seen him go one more inning. He only threw 78 pitches. We'll see, depends on if his spot comes up next inning, or if the lead has grown
Apparently, the Giants cannot seem to be bothered to dfa Crick or switch Blanco to the 60 day in order to bring up a 3rd catcher or another hitter.Wait, what?
You mean teams are allowed to call up CATCHERS in September???
At this point, they could DFA Blanco if they have no intention of bringing him back... But 60'ing him is probably the "nicer" thing to do...Apparently, the Giants cannot seem to be bothered to dfa Crick or switch Blanco to the 60 day in order to bring up a 3rd catcher or another hitter.
Seems weird to have him do rehab assignments if they had no plan to bring him up. Maybe they wanted to see how well he did. Got to wonder if they let him go this offseason. And what about Heston? He threw a few games at the end of the season. Won't he have to come off the 60 at some point?
Bochy has 14 relief pitchers, you think he's not gonna use them in a #7 SP game?I would have liked to have seen him go one more inning. He only threw 78 pitches.
Stratton in particular. He really looked good after his cuppo.Seems weird to have him do rehab assignments if they had no plan to bring him up. Maybe they wanted to see how well he did. Got to wonder if they let him go this offseason.
What I really find puzzling, though, is that they refuse to off any of their pitchers from the 40 man roster but refuse to bring up the ones who are in AAA (Blackburn, Stratton, Gregorio).
