A little surprised Bartman isn't back. Interesting OF. Yaz, Joc, LWJ all sitting.

Joey Bart is expected back in the lineup tomorrow. Austin Slater will be out at least 10 days, just never got over the hump after dislocating finger.

I glanced at the game in the 1st inning and it was 2-0 Dogs. I sighed.

I just got back from walking my dog (a black and white Cocker Spaniel named Dempsey, named after Jack Dempsey the boxer, whose nickname was "Kid Blackie"), and it is now 6-2 Giants, who have hit four homers. Well, that'll work!

I understand that LaStella, once again, is not in the DH spot tonight (about time!). In honor of that, I'd like to point out that LaStella has played in 58 games this season. Of those 58, 42 have been as a DH. He's appeared in another 13 games as a pinch hitter. Now a few of those pinch hitting appearances did lead to playing a defensive position as he's appeared in a whooping 6 games at 3rd base and another 3 games apiece at 1st base and 2nd base. More telling is that he's only started 45 games total. Clearly he is not healthy enough to play the field and should be put on the IL.

I think Kap’s insistence to play him has cost the Giants more than a couple games this year. He is preventing other players from “resting” and he hasn’t produced at all.

I also just got back from walking Natascha, and thought I'd look at the thread before checking the score. My heart sank when I read that Webb had a moundshattery, but glad to hear about the HRs. Going to look at the game now. Natascha is not impressed:

The bull(shit)pen may very well squander this one, but Webby continues to impress. Didn't have his best stuff, didn't get good support on defense, but gutted out six strong innings.

Dude is a stud.

He strikes me as a Cain-Clone. He got here well before the big batch of homegrown kids, pitches like a horse, getting screwed by the team around him almost every game, is a very good SP, but probably not in the ELITE tier in the league…

And they have an eerie similarity, physically.

Does his spincter also get tight every time he faces the Dodgers?
