:noidea:

He seems athletic with some power. Not exactly young, but under 30. Had solid numbers in the minors.
He is off to a good start, offensively, with the Giants. I have to think he'll be back if he keeps this up.

Now, Luis Gonzalez, on the other hand . . .

Tie a record of five homers at Dodger Stadium

Now only 26.5 games behind the Dodgers!

He was our best hitter for about two months, and then got hurt/forgot how to hit/was a train wreck running the bases.

And was also our best relief pitcher for about a week.

However, I think he'll be dfa'd this offseason (or nontendered).

Be careful. You don’t want Marco catching you say that and going on a 3 page rant explaining all the intricate differences between non-tendering and DFAing.

Per Cots, he is Arb3.
BBRef has him listed as being a free agent after the 2024 season but have already accrued 5 years of big league service time. I wonder if the difference between the two webpages is Cots is counting the 2022 toward service time and BBRef is not. I have not bother to look to see how many years of arbitration he's gone through but I wouldn't be surprised if Cots is correct.

I know the difference and could see the Giants doing either. Besides, when is the last time Marco showed up? I'm pretty sure we've already said some things that would have triggered him this season.

Cots agrees that he will be a FA after “24. They have him getting an additional Arb year after next year.

He hasn’t logged in in quite a while. I think we lost him.

Interesting. Most people just fade away. At least that was my understanding from when I researched posters on this forum.
I went to an old post of his, and I can still open his account page. But you can’t @ him. Odd.
