Makes up (a little) of the sour taste of what was it, 1993, when the Braves overtook us?
Wake me up from a deep sleep, hold a gun to my head and ask either “What year did we win 103” or “How many wins did we have in ’93”, and I would survive without breaking a sweat.

That shit is branded into my psyche.

Always thought of Rod Beck as an old man on the G’s. Maybe just one of those dudes that look 40 when they’re 22? :heh:

I'm all in on that kid. He's the real deal I'm calling it now. Only way to hit him is if he makes a mistake or you guess.

FYWW!

Another one in the books. Doval looking like the real deal lately
Tale of two Dovals:
1st half (April 18th-May 20th) - 13 games, 7.59 ERA, 1.594 WHIP, 2.7 HR/9, 11.0 K/9
2nd half (Aug 12th, Sept 5th-Sept 29th) - 14 games, 0.00 ERA, 0.628 WHIP, 0.0 HR/9, 12.6 K/9

He came up and was immediately pushed back into his heals. He lost his confidence.

he went down and immediately got his confidence back (on the field). They just needed to make him believe that he legit had the stuff to be a major leaguer. This second stint, he has that confidence.

I am not certain about that. He will be in the mix, but I think Kap sticks with McGee.
Have you learned nothing of the new way of the Kap? He will make all kinds of moves and not always conventional ones. Doval may not close every game, some games he may be put in with the bases loaded and 1 out in the 7th. But I want him over McGee it's that obvious.

The bases juiced 1 out situation belongs to Alvarez. I don’t think we need to look elsewhere for that situation.

As for the 9th, you just described him being “in the mix”. Sounds like we agree.
