Being serious, I thought that they shook up the coaching staff last year. With all the talk about Bochy expressing a desire to return and the FO's contracts expiring in 2019, is ownership going to give everyone the boot a year early? Are they not getting punished for toeing the ownership's plan?
I still would not support Boch or Sabes getting FIRED. I think Boch SHOULD retire, though. He is not a healthy man.

Sabes needs to either take back the day-to-day controls or walk away. He is like Walsh to Evan’s Seiffert.

It was supposed to be a joke.

Edit: And I "see" you laughing. Guess the joke's on me.
:dunce:
To be fair, I did “laugh” about a min after posting my reply...

The Orioles just guaranteed themselves one of the top 2 picks as KC fades further and suddenly has some company in the form of Miami. The Giants, meanwhile, dropped "below" the Mets for the 12th spot and suddenly looking more difficult to get much further up than maybe the 8th pick.

1) Baltimore 42-106 - (14 games left) (1-2)
2) Kansas City 52-96 10 (14) (1-10)
3) Miami 57-91 15 (14) (2-14)
4) San Diego 59-90 16.5 (13) (2-12)
5) White Sox 59-89 17 (14) (2-14)
6) Detroit 60-88 18 (14) (2-14)
7) Cincinnati 63-86 20.5 (13) (2-16)
8) Texas 64-84 22 (14) (2-17)
9) Toronto 66-82 24 (14) (2-17)
10) Minnesota 67-81 25 (14) (3-21)
11) Mets 69-79 27 (14) (3-24)
12) Giants 70-79 27.5 (13) (3-24)
13) Anaheim 73-76 31 (13) (5-25) (missed their loss yesterday)
14) Pittsburgh 73-74 31.5 (15) (5-26)
15) Washington 75-74 32.5 (13) (7-26)

So how does this (potential) injury affect his trade value?

It means they'll have to sale the trade based on Chris Shaw - thus the reason he hasn't played. Mystery creates value.
To be fair, so far the “mystery” has been better than the “revelation”...

Oh yeah, his production so far has been woeful. But hiding a guy in hopes that a team will pay more for him seems ridiculous, and, I would think, easily seen through.
