Saved the most exciting win for game 22. Indians tie it after being down to their last strike with a Lindor double, Bruce wins it in the 10th. That place was electric too. Indians magic number for the division down to 3.

Red Sox and Yankees both win so the Yankee stay 3 games back.

Twins win and Angels loss gives the Twins a 3 game lead for the 2nd wild card.

Cubs and Cardinals win, Brewers don't play, so Cardinals and Brewers are both 3 back for the NL Central.

Rockies loss means there are now 4 teams (Cubs, Cardinals, Brewers, and Rockies) vying for 2 playoff spots in the NL separated by 3 games.

if Judge spread his season out over 162, those numbers would be running away with the MVP
Think the second half meltdown should cost him

Yankees playing some really good baseball, offense is really coming alive. Quite a shame for me at least that they will run into the Tribe

Christian Vazquez with a HR yesterday, his OPS since July 29th is up to 1.044.

Aaron Judge with 2 HRs last night puts him 6 HRs behind McGwire's rookie record with 16 games to play.

I think the top 7 will end up being Altuve, Sale, Judge, Kluber, Ramirez, Trout, and Lindor.

That's not the order I would put them in, although I would vote for Altuve right now.

Drew Pomeranz won his 16th game. 4 guys now tied for the league lead in wins, 2 from the Indians (Kluber and Bauer) and 2 from the Red Sox (Sale and Pomeranz).

He has slowed down. He "only" is hitting .286 with an .840 OPS since August 9th.

His overall numbers will look similar to last season, but he hasn't taken a loss since July 16th. Since then he's made 10 starts, is 9-0 with a 2.53 ERA since then. And the no-decision, he threw 7 IP with 1 ER, 9 Ks, and 0 BBs. Blown save by Cody Allen

Perfectly constructed team

I don't know about that, but I started keeping track of the starters' stats around 8/3 because of the ridiculous run they were on, but since, the entire team has been doing so much, the starters' dominance is just a piece of the pie.

Still, in 42 games since 8/3, Indians starters have combined for:

6.36 IP/GS ~ 10.0 K/9 ~ 5.21 K/BB ~ 1.021 WHIP ~ 2.22 ERA

When I was in Cleveland the first week of Aug, almost went to the Rockies game. The Tribe was losing 1-0 then scored 4 in the 9th to win

This team is unconscious right now

I'm torn on this streak.

On one hand, I think the guys are getting a good dose of playoff pressure/atmosphere, which might calm them down a little come October. On the other hand, last night was the first night I saw overwhelmingly emotional play from them in pursuit of this streak - I don't want them to be emotionally/mentally spent heading into the playoffs.

Fuck. I'm so nervous.

Also, fuck you @Bloody Brian Burke.
