Ozzie Guillen (U's mgr at the ChiSox) said it best when we acquired him. To paraphrase: If you play him at 3rd, he will be your best 3rd baseman. If you play him at SS, he will be your best SS. If you play him at 2B, he will be your best 2B.
So, yes, IMO, we would have played him at 2B if that's where we needed him.
