Yaz just hit his 100th home run, in his 672nd game. That's the 12th fastest to 100 in SF Giants history (!)

He is very quietly having a decent career, especially for a guy who started it at the age he did. Glad that FZ acquired him.

I have been somewhat critical of Yaz during his tenure here, but dude has put together a solid career. 100 HRs is 100 HRs, no matter what your lineage. He can/should stand proud on his own achievements, and not be constantly compared to his HoF grandfather.

Grandfather/Grandson duos to each hit 100 career HRs…

The main critique of Yaz isn't really his fault. My issue is he's been our best outfielder on and off for his tenure. If he was our 3rd or 4th best, I think he'd be viewed in a different light.

I think it would help if the Giants started the inning with a runner halfway down the third base line. Of course, the runner would be more likely to get picked off than score.
