then if he is such a good power hitter then doesn't that take away a little of his top of the order greatness?? I think it might... We all put him at the 2 spot, but do you want a 300+ HR guy hitting 2??

Sure why not, 300 HR's is 15 a year for 20 years. I'll take a two run homer just as nicely as runners at the corners.

Making a general debate, do you think it matters who hits one or 2 in a traditionally created ideal lineup?? I am thinking probably to use Collins at the one only because he had more stolen bases...

I dont really think it matters, as you know I dont think much of base stealing in these drafts, why risk an out in front of the greatest hitters of all time just to advance 1 base?

Also, Collins bats left, i'd rather have a lefty batting 2nd.

I really don't like when people put non leadoff hitters at leadoff.

Or play people out of position. And leadoff is the only spot in the order that feels like a position, to me.

Throwing out my opinion on this, like I do every baseball draft.
