8 Bears we're most excited to see in 2020

Actually, it's 9 players total, being they have the Foles-Trubisky battle counted as one. For the most part, I agree with this list. Normally, I wouldn't have Roquan Smith as one of the more intriguing players to watch, being he's already proven himself. In fact, I'd go as far as to say that aside from Mack, Smith just might be the team's best overall player. But he did have to exit those final four games of the season due to that torn pec injury. I hope he's fully recovered from it. Between him and Hicks, having those two back on the field together makes the D just that much scarier.

The more I read about and see highlights of Jaylon Johnson...the more excited I get.

The other player I'm excited to see, and hope he stays healthy, is Anthony Miller. He had a 5 game stretch where he averaged around 6.5 catches and 86 yards per game. If he can take a step forward and produce a full season even close to those numbers he becomes a legit #2 receiver in this league.

Yes to both and while we're at it, yes to Ridley as well. I'd love to see him take that next step.

Strong this. I am definitely drafting Miller my in fantasy league this year. I had him during that stretch last year and he was pretty much fantastic after Gabriel went down for the year.

A lot of Mitch's missed throws downfield were also in the direction of an open Miller. Foles throws a beauty of a deep ball. I really think Miller could burst onto the scene this year.

BTW... I'm not a "Nagy is the problem!" guy, by any stretch. However, him deciding that Miller should return kicks for us, suddenly, in a meaningless week 17 game vs Minnesota's backups? That was just retarded. For absolutely zero reason, Miller was put at risk and wound up tearing his labrum... again.

I've also torn my labrum... twice. lol. Luckily, you don't really need a fully healthy labrum to play WR effectively.

Quinn, Hicks, Mack and the entire defense for me. Everyone thinks we took a step back defensively but I think we took a step forward. We finally 3 legit pass rushers and that means this defense can be very special. We did lose 50% of starting secondary but I like Jaylon Johnson and I was never a fan of Ha Ha.

Offensively it's Trubisky all the way. I'm hoping he starts the season as a starter and doesn't lose it. He has enough football snaps now where if he is going to blossom it would start now.

Interesting no one has mentioned Kmet yet. Rookie TEs typically aren't good their rookie years so maybe that's the reason.

Not a great list imo. The rookie class and can the coaching staff adjust to our players is what i'm most interested in. As disappointed as I could be about not addressing the Oline, I am happy with the players we drafted and think we got some real talent. The list was half full of guys we already know exactly how good they are and the only question is can they stay healthy. Having Jackson back at FS is huge to me. It's what i'll be watching the most. Miller? I think we know how good he is, health is the only question on him. Monty? Well Monty is a Oline question for me. How did TE play not make the list? We got 2 new TE's.

Not on this thread because I was sticking with the names from the article, but I've mentioned on a few occasions that I think Kmet is going to play a bigger role than most in here think. I can see him posting similar numbers to those of Greg Olsen from his rookie season. Maybe not quite as many, especially in the early going as he mostly rides the pine and plays on the STs, whereas Olsen almost immediately stepped into a starting role. But as he grows into his role, I see him making a decent contribution.

Olsen's rookie year:

39 catches 391 yards 2 TDs

That's nothing to write home about if that's the bar for Kmet his rookie year. Olsen also barely contributes anything to the running game.

I never said Olsen's stats were. All I said was Kmet could post similar numbers and that he will have a bigger impact than many in here think he will as a rook. And as far as Olsen's blocking (or lack thereof) goes, it was well known in the scouting reports prior to the draft that his blocking skills were deficient at best. Kmet OTOH has a pretty decent rep for blocking, so he'll contribute in that aspect as well. I'll take it one step farther. I think early into the season he will already have established himself as the #2 TE on the team. I know with our batch, that's not saying much, but he will be a factor this season.

No way for a defense to take a step forward when the offense goes 3 and out 40 percent on the drives.

You honestly think this offense will be worse than last year? What about the year before last?

You said"its turdbiscuit all the way" so if that's the case, then the offense will suck. Is that news to you?

They were terrible, how could they be worse, barring injury. Ask stupid questions, get stupid answers

Don't be an idiot saying idiotic things. They could be a lot worse. They weren't even the worst in the league. What are you talking about.

You're clearly a waste of the genius's time.

Lucky me. Anyone constantly having to tell people how smart they are, is always a fucking idiot. They went 3 and out, on 40 percent of drives. In my eyes, they were total shit. Gfy

Do you know how to follow up on what you say? Gfy

You keep on pounding your chest about how bad this offense was last year? Who on God's green earth is disagreeing with you? When did i say otherwise? You're arguing things that were never said.

I was making a specific point, you missed that point, started flailing your arms like a lunatic. You're not that bright are you?

Project much? Pounding my chest, flailing around? stfu.

You said this "Offensively it's Trubisky all the way. I'm hoping he starts the season as a starter and doesn't lose it. "
Then you have the nerve to tell me I am the stupid one?

You are a vortex of semantics and bullshit. What exactly makes you think Mitch will be better? The dude is totally lost out there. He is inaccurate, and had shown no signs of improvement. I dont see how they could be worse, but what the fuck does that matter? They were one of the worst in the entire league, and basically made an awesome defense look mediocre, due to being on the field for 3 quarters of the games.

What is your fucking point?
