I don't like any of the lines in this game except MAYBE the Giants (-1.5).

210 is too expensive for any baseball game and 6.5 is a tough O/U to take when you have this kind of pitching matchup.

Any opinions to share about your CF tonight? Are the Giants souring on Blanco & Torres, or are they both just due for a day off?

Cranium is doing anything he can to get some runs. Towers and Shark are frigid right now.

I would guess a little bit of both, but moreso, a need to evaluate RK and Frenchy before deciding their fates.

Lucky for me, somebody shared their Giants boardspeak to english dictionary, so I could follow along.

And, in respect to your comment, might as well try something new, to shake things up. And, I see they are facing a guy ( Estrada ) just off the D.L, and someone who was not doing well before him went lame.

Looks like a Giants W to me tonight.

You obviously have not been paying attention to the Giants' 2013 campaign.

Young guy, right off the DL, not doing well this season, usually equals a two hitter.

I think Blanco's job with the team moving forward is safe. Towers, not so much.

I agree that Frenchy is simply a project for next season. HOPEFULLY they can "fix" him, and he can be what he was supposed to be. If so, he is our 3rd OFer.

:agree:

:bawling:

Who was that guy who took a no-no into the 7th against us, then was DFA'd about 3 weeks later after getting destroyed by everyone else?

I myself have trouble paying attention to teams anymore. Being a big fantasy player, it all about the individuals for me. But, I am aware of the issue in general. However, I think Estrada has faced the Giants before, so there is hope.

IMO, what is "broken" in him is his contact rate. The Giants would be the 3rd team to help him with that, so,........? And who is their hitting coach now? Didn't Bam Bam get shown the door earlier this year?

No. Sir Bam Bam is still around. However, we do essentially have 2 batting coaches (Joe Lefebvre).

I agree that he likely has a fatal flaw, but he has so much raw talent that he will get chance after chance.

Blanco 4-51 (.078) with 6 walks and one runs scored

Towers 0-20 (.000) with 3 walks and no runs scored

Most pitchers hit better than that. And certainly every pitcher who faces the Giants seems to hit better than that.

He is like a certain type of ballplayer that we don't see too much of anymore. All D. No O. Great glove. Great speed. Great arm.
