And for those who say I can't be objective. You just ripped me for not wanting Casilla as the closer. Romo will close by years end.Bank it.

I have been right all year ...why stop now. Lincecum will be back . Bank it. Let's just see who is right at the end of the season. I love proving you guys wrong with all the negativity. Oh yeah all of you who buried the Giants last week ...welcome back.

And you wonder why we rip you here... :L

So, it's very likely Lincecum is not going to help this team again this year. He didn't pick a terrible time though. With reinforcements coming tomorrow, Tim can spend the whole month in the Pen and try to figure his shit out.

I still have my hopes he can help out of the Pen next year, but right now I do not want to see him in there in a close game TBH. I feel bad for the guy, I'm sure he is really embarrassed and is working hard to figure this out, but he is just a mess right now.

On the subject of happier things, I loved watching Pablo this series and how the Brewers attacked him. They started pitching him away and Pablo rolled over everything on Friday. Then on Saturday the Crew stuck with the game plan and Pablo adjusted and hit the ball the other way. So today, the Crew pitched him inside and Pablo adjusted again and burned them. Fun series.

This might be true (I'd say 40% or so chance) but he is probably also not a Giant after this year.

Was it really just a week ago that we got shelled by the Nats, 14-6? Seems like a lifetime ago. Really glad to see the Giants have a decent homestand, and the bats coming around. 10-19 today with RISP. Wow!

Giants now 55-15 on the season when scoring 1st, 19-47 otherwise.

In addition, they are 74-0 when scoring more runs than the opposing team.

Baseball is a marathon...and we all know this...so why do we give up on them in July? I almost gave up a week or so ago...but kept it together just long enough...

Ever since my rant the Giants have played better. I am taking credit for the turn around.

Happy to give you the credit!

Well done. :yahoo:

BoB deserves some too, if we're being fair.

Some moves already announced:

Hunter Strickland is coming :-)yahoo:)

Perez, Kickham, Chris Dminguez and Quiroz are on the way as well.

Hacktor and EA transferred to the 60-day DL, done for season.

edit: Note, these move will not take place until after the suspended game tomorrow.

So we could see more non-40 man guys then with Cain and Scutaro needing to go on 60-DL

Yes. Though, I'm not sure who else needs to be added. They may save some space for the offseason. They can still bring up Duvall, Cordier, Parker, Brown, Carbonell, Villalona, and Flores (latter 3 unlikely).

edit: maybe Noonan, maybe Hicks, maybe Bochy, maybe Ford, maybe Colvin, maybe Minicozzi. But they'd have to risk losing them later if they are DFA'd again.

What about Jake Snodgrass and Austin Fleet both having good years at Double A. Snodgrass will start for the Giants in 2-3 years.

Too bad about EA, it'd be nice to rest Crawford some in September. I guess Arias and Duffy will get a start or three.

This is what I mean though, they don't need to add these guys to the 40 man at this time, so I doubt they waste the spot. They are already maxed out on space, so if they added 2 more guys, they would be in a real crunch in the offseason.

Also, in my opinion, I don't see either guy making a difference. Maybe Fleet. But this is Snodgrass's second year in AA (an extreme pitchers league) and still has pedestrian numbers. He's not a stuff guy, and he's getting old for the league. Nice pitching depth for the minors.
