I missed half the game (including the first 4 runs for the Cardinals) but what I did see was just a flat team all around, except for Petit.

Four 2-out runs allowed, no offense, and a wasted Saturday afternoon. Good thing they won yesterday's game after blowing the 4-0 lead.

Flat pretty much describes it. Lynn looked vulnerable in the 1st, but stingy after that.

Lester was the one who decided not to sign with the Giants. Evans made a push to sign him.

Maybe he was just more impressed by the Cubs' offer. The Giants were one of the finalists.

100% disagree.

The defense and Kontos bent Vogey over in this inning.

The ground ball to right should have been fielded by Tomlinson and the base bit to left was a seeing-eye that Duffy will come up with 7/10 times.

Then Kontos comes in and starts spraying gasoline all over the place.

Vogey is unable to keep his pitch count in a manageable area, so he hurt himself in that regard, but Vogey pitched 1000x better than his line would suggest.

Groundball to right was through a drawn in infield. I don't think Panik gets it either. Kontos was bad, but ANYTIME a SP can't go 5 --- that's a full on shitshow. Bullpen had nothing to do with it.

I took a buddy who fractured his femur and this was his first time out of the house in quite a while. I spent the rest of the game reading email. It wasn't that unpleasant. Usually, I loathe sitting there with no chance to win so I bail.
