Now THAT was legit FYWW right there. And Strickland looked like an all-star closer, no drama, great pitching. Seriously wondering if Melancon deserves the spot back.

Strickland deserves to maintain the closer's role. He's had some hiccups but his numbers are still good. I guess we'll see what happens when Melancon is eventually brought up (once he starts rehab).

Strick isn't a kid anymore, he's 29. Melancon I would think would start in earlier innings like 6th-7th to see if he's still got it. If he does, then the problem starts. Beats the heck out of having 2 crappy arms.

I have eyes. And I have seen a pitcher who is extremely effective of late. And he still has the history of being an elite closer.

He isn’t my first choice, but he is on the short list.

Look at Bochy, PH in a high leverage situation in the 4th! Well done.

That made me so happy. This isn't a long term winning strategy (can't do it every time out), but it makes sense in some scenarios. I think just the fact the Boch was willing to do it is what made me happy.
