Time for some fresh prince . . .
9 pitch save by strick and 5 inn by fyww. the pen could use a nice 8 inning game by the starter tomorrow.
Strickland deserves to maintain the closer's role. He's had some hiccups but his numbers are still good. I guess we'll see what happens when Melancon is eventually brought up (once he starts rehab). Now THAT was legit FYWW right there. And Strickland looked like an all-star closer, no drama, great pitching. Seriously wondering if Melancon deserves the spot back.
He went 7 against the Padres 3 starts ago. Its within the realm of possibility. From Suarez? Uh....

And on top of all that, I would be AOK with Smith, Watson or Dyson taking the job as well.Strick isn't a kid anymore, he's 29. Melancon I would think would start in earlier innings like 6th-7th to see if he's still got it. If he does, then the problem starts. Beats the heck out of having 2 crappy arms.

This is a potential elite bully, fellas.
I have eyes. And I have seen a pitcher who is extremely effective of late. And he still has the history of being an elite closer.Dyson? Man you wanted him out of town not that long ago. But I get it.
If holland can do it, ya never know. From Suarez? Uh....
Look at Bochy, PH in a high leverage situation in the 4th! Well done.
Why strive for Holland? If holland can do it, ya never know.
