Why is star still getting ABs? And at DH, nonetheless. Dude is worthless.


he is on the team mainly because of his defensive flexibility. He is too hurt to play defense. So he now gets 80% of the DH ABs, preventing other players from getting the “DH-off day” that the position has become for most teams in the league.

I thought this FO/manager were supposed to be flexible in how they construct a lineup?

Anyone know team numbers for how many runs each team has scored this season in these situations (no out juice)? Or how often they score vs how often they don’t score?

It SEEMS like the Giants are bad in these scenarios, but I think the Giants broadcasters have also said that the Giants are one of the best hitting teams with the bases loaded. I would like to see those numbers myself (and compared to other teams).

The Giants are 15th in bases loaded OPS (.759) and BA (.270). They are 3rd in grand slams (6). The source I am using for this doesn’t track runs scored or how many outs.
