Meh. They've had some bad luck in those games with the NLC. eight losses by either one or two runs, and quite a few extra inning games, also. I think the recent series with the Pirates was the worst of the lot, since that was against the new, improved lineup.

I'm not one for making excuses, but...I don't know how to finish that sentence.

True that, although I'd include the Cards in there too. Pirates are only 3 back in the loss column with over a month to go.
