I was getting frustrated with him last year as well. Heck even in ‘20 I was commenting he was over-rated (but still worthy of a roster spot). At this point, he is a defense ONLY OFer.
I liked him in 2020 and was okay with him starting in 2021. This year, he doesn't look like anything but a 4th or 5th outfielder. I'd be okay with moving on from him this offseason (will the nontenders be brutal this November?).
He still has 3 options, and I can’t imagine he will get that much of a raise in arbitration. They may not want to let go of his name so quickly, so I would actually be surprised if he is non-tendered. But his time as a cornerstone of this team needs to be over (2 years ago, but I pile on…).
Time for him to find a new team (or retire).
Not to mention all the money we've invested buying letters for his uniforms.

After the year he has had, I honestly think he would have trouble finding a starting job anywhere or getting even a 1/10 prove it contract. I would not be shocked to see him hang up those clown cleats.
A lot less letters in his name than Yaz.
I would be ok with that, maybe. If he fills the Ruf-role. We would still need to find a new starting 1B (maybe Davis?)
