I would have liked Bumgarner go one more inning, but that may just be the fantasy league manager in me talking.

Collins just got the "vote of confidence" by Alderson today. Looks like Terry may not be around much longer.
When was the last time someone got the "vote of confidence" and wasn't fired within 6 months?

Tom Coughlin? But he needed to win the SB to keep his job (damn you, Kyle Williams)

Why bring Smith in to face the lefty? Smith has reverse splits. Bring in Lopez here...

The guy is less than a year removed from taking his team to the World Series and he's getting the "vote of confidence". New York minute, I tell ya.

This is one of the aspect I don't understand about Smith yet. The F.O. themselves touted this as a true Affeldt replacement, but Boch is using him like a LOOGY (7 games, 3.2 IP), yet his number suggest otherwise.

Good point. But I think a big reason that he only has 3.2 in those 7 appearances is because he has been so gawd-awful that he hasn't been able to get those outs he was supposed to get.

But why trade for this bum, anyway? Let alone give up 2 supposed legit prospects for him?

Bickford must REALLY suck (in the org's eyes, at least).

Best relief pitcher against lefties currently on the staff: Derek Law - Lefties are hitting .182/.182/.303. The worst? Will Smith - .319/.347/.468

Every lefty Smith faces is an all-star.

SSS, granted, but I just don't understand that trade.

I don't understand tzill arguing Smith is a good reliever, unless he was being blinded by the fact that Susac was traded for him.

Blevins comes in and does the exact same thing with the first two batters he faces as Gearrin. What's the odds we even get one run out of this inning?
