Game Thread: 8/18 M*A*S*H @ Turdinals

Our starters this year are better (on a 4-man basis) than last year. But there is no explaining last year's team. That was truly a fluke win. '10 and '12 can be explained. Not '14. So our goal should not be to just be the same team as last year.

That said, '15 is NOT the same as '14. The pitching, as #weaklink as it may be (and for the record, I agree that it is), it is still better than '14 AND we have an elite offense (when healthy). That is something we did not have last year.

We're past goals now, this is the team we are going to war with in 2015. Just noticing we certainly don't have a worse rotation, or pen, and a much better O. If Bum can go Beast Mode again, or 80% of it, and the pen becomes like another starter...maybe I've been too pessimistic on these guys

Gotta get to playoffs but then, look out once more....

Boch was asked recently (I would assume after his 4th HR of the season) if he would consider using Bum as a DH.

He said "yes".

If we make it to the post season, I think Bum has to be used as a high-level PHer. He has earned that.
