LOS ANGELES -- Wilmer Flores' sprained right ankle felt worse Tuesday, creating the possibility of a DL trip, Terry Collins said.
Flores twisted the ankle running the bases in the second inning Monday night and limped badly after the game. He remained in the series opener and completed the game after getting the ankle taped.
Collins said a DL determination likely would not be made for a couple of days.
Sandy Alderson said Flores has not undergone X-rays or an MRI.
"It's pretty stiff," Collins said. "In this world we live in, there's always the possibility of the DL. We certainly won't know anything for a day or so. I think the fact that he was taped up might have kept it a little bit intact. But after the game he was very, very uncomfortable. And today he was even worse than last night."
There were 2 plays last night at 3rd that led to runs that I thought Flores or Wright makes that play. Turner however, could not, and it cost them.
