I know Noggin's love for vets, and Sabes' love affair with dumpsters, but why the hell is Frenchy playing at all? He is now hitting less than .200 (OK, it is .218) for the Giants. Wasn't his pickup supposed to energize the club? He has no power. And has driven in exactly 3 runs in 11 games

I can imagine the scuttlebutt in the clubhouse.

Sabes: "Hey guys, look what I found! Your new left fielder, Frenchy!"

Guys: "Wasn't he just released by the Royals? Nice find, boss. Thanks for the support. We needed a hitter, not a has been."

In the 9th it will be Arias, Belt, and a PH. Doesn't that inspire tremendous confidence? But hey, it could happen. Arias walks and then BB9 ends the worst homestand of his life with a splash hit. Right!?

In three games against one of the worst pitching staffs in baseball, the Giants have all of 14 hits, no homers, and have scored three (3) runs. They have given up only six (6) runs in the series, and will lose all three games.
