They've played the shittiest of baseball the past 2 months but cry me a freakin river. IF you were a fan during the lean years, you'd know what it means to have it tough

I think that might be part of the reason people are freaking out. We've finally had a taste of greatness and the agonizing crash from so high hurts just a little bit more than if it were a short tumble back into the shallowness of mediocrity. We were great once, dammit! Twice, even!

With that said, my homerism will not allow me to give up quite yet. If the crapfaces in LA can turn it around in a month, who's to say they can't do a 180 and crawl back to their hole?

Good point, except for maybe Bumgardner, everyone on this team deserves a slice of poop pie for how they've performed. Timmy gets a nod for his amazing one game performance (should have a much better record all told)

I guess I should consider myself lucky as a busy schedule has prevented me from watching as much Giants baseball as I normally do. If I had to stomach this every day, maybe I'd be gnashing my teeth as much as everyone else too.

I'm almost on that bus with you... almost. My ideal scenario once I'm on is that we are the ultimate spoilers the last week in September and CRUSH the dreams of all doyer fans everywhere once again. That will be the only saving grace of this season.

To take a misstep off a foot stool might twist an ankle.

A misstep off six foot ladder might break an ankle.

A misstep off 20 foot extension ladder will break something, badly.

I expected better of this team based on which ladder they have been standing on the last few years. Of course, in the bad old days at the Stick, it wasn't a step off a foot stool, it was a step off into the Grand Canyon.
