Game Thread: 7/24 Ass @ Champs

The Minnesota Air Force is a real thing in the summer, and it can get pretty humid.

Target Field is a nice yard. Went there in 2010 when it opened.

I used to ride my bike down Hennepin and over what we called "The Singing Bridge." Cool in a car, nerve-wracking riding a bike.

My dad retired early and moved to a lake near St. Cloud.

When I visited a few years ago, he took my son and I to a game in the Metrodome. An atrocious venue for baseball, I thought. Felt like being inside a pinball machine.

In 2001-2004 when I was there I called it The Big Hefty Bag

Yup. A solid six from Peaved/Huddy is pretty much the best we can expect. Hopefully, Cainer starts giving us some 7+ inning starts and Bum/Moses continue to be excellent.

My dad was a charter season ticket holder for the Vikings. But when they moved to the Metrodome, they did some very unwise things to the long time season tix holders. My dad decided not to renew, and never went back. Wouldn't even watch them on TV.

The A's have bad scouting when it comes to bull pen names.

They used to have Grant Balfour, now they have Abad. They need Bob Walk, Tyler Walker and Homer Bailey to fill it out...

That inning showed how hard it us put a street together in this game. If Craw does not fumble the exchange, he gets Butler and the street is still alive.

Giants broadcast is on?

I'm a moron. For at least two years now, I've just assumed they use either A's or Giants broadcast during the series. I'd go to CSNBA and it would be some show, so I go to A's broadcast.

Man that was a fun game to be at....this team can score (granted we've been playing bad teams), and that's without Aoki. Although Pagan did a pretty good Aoki impression today with 3 singles and a walk.

Still probably need a solid pitcher...not necessarily in a trade, need Cain and/or Peavy to keep it up, let's see how they do in August.

A's looked really flat and demoralized, now that the fire sale has begun. Probably will move Zobrist, Clippard, and Reddick too.

Reddick impressed me. Each of his ABs were impressive. We don't have a spot for a starting corner OF, but he he would be a great fit for a contender somewhere.
