Hey I saw a story on Kevin Mitchell who has turned his life around. He got diagnosed with Diabetes and he said it woke him up. He is now working with young kids telling them about staying off the streets and such. Always liked Mitchell even through his tough times. Remember the barehanded catch? Man, when he came over with Dravecky and Lefferts on July 4th , 1987 the Giants rolled onto the West Championship and almost won the whole thing. That was a great year.

Just one more thing about that trade in 1987 . I can remember watching on TV and I think the Giants were at Wrigley Field and I could feel the bump that trade made for them right from that day. I think Mitchell hit a HR and they were off to the races.

What the heck is up with Morse? He is 5 for his last 33. He has no power. Hasn't hit a dinger since June 5.

mlb.com won't give me the split, but wondering what his average is as a 1B. Seems to me that as soon as the Giants had him play 1B instead of LF, his power has gone missing. His average is about the same as when Belt went on the DL.
